In typical YakAttack fashion, what started as an idea for a single offset RotoGrip Paddle Holder resulted in a product with a bit more versatility. The DoubleHeader track mount can serve several purposes, but here it is the foundation for the offset paddle holder solution customers have wanted since the RotoGrip launched. Compatible with standard-diameter kayak paddles, the RotoGrip has become the most widely used paddle holder in the industry.

Many paddlers wanted to use one or two RotoGrips on a single side of the kayak. Two RotoGrips on one piece of track give a tight hold, but the paddle covers the whole track and leaves the open track space useless. The DoubleHeader eliminates that problem by offsetting the paddle holders off the kayak, keeping the remaining track space free for other accessories.

Tight on track space? Replace the DoubleHeader's stock knob with the LockNLoad base of a YakAttack rod holder, camera mount, or other accessory to run multiple attachments from a short section of track or a single point of attachment like a MightyMount II.

Two Track Disks are included for a snug fit in either standard YakAttack GearTrac (GT90, GTSL90, GT175, MightyMount XL) or the wider opening of YakAttack Top Loading GearTrac (GTTL90 and GTTL175). If your kayak came with a track system, try both to find the best fit.

For added paddle security, two SnapNStrap Security Tethers are included. Unhook the bungee tab from its stored position on the DoubleHeader base, wrap it around the paddle shaft, and loop it over the tab on the outward side of the RotoGrip. This is handy on pedal-drive kayaks like Hobie or with motors like Torqeedo or MotorGuide, where the paddle isn't always needed. When you need quick access, the tethers have a stored position so they stay out of the way.
